The Dingle Peninsula is a unique environment in that multiple worldviews are visible in the landscape; from the evidence of the first settlers in Ferriter’s Cove, to the early Christians figures such as Brendan the Navigator, to the enclosed island life remembered by Peg Sayers and Tomas O’ Crohan.
On Friday May 2nd I will be joined by archaeologist Isabel Bennett to discuss how these different worldviews have communicated with each other over time, and also to explore the idea that living in a landscape such as this may make us more receptive to different ways of seeing the world.
This talk will take place in the atmospheric surroundings of Carol Cronin’s art gallery on Green Street in Dingle. Tickets are available at the link: https://feilenabealtaine.ie/events/the-great-story-cosmologies-in-conversation-le-kevin-power/
